i've been on the internet for most of my life. being exposed to it when i was eight and when my brain was at it's second-most squishiest.
if i wasn't exploring club penguin, neopets, or niche MMOs that i can't seem to find anymore, i would browse random online forums that peaked my interest. i would narrowly avoid getting viruses from those "free mario flash games" websites and whatever limewire downloads i had at the time.
while i was never active during the web 1.0 era, i've stumbled upon websites from then throughout my early years online. and now i'm fascinated with it, along with the personalization and indiviuality displayed on those websites that you don't really see online anymore.
despite my love for the internet, i am not technologically fluent in the slightest. but despite that i wanted to try my best to make my own website anyway (by stealing html code here and there from other websites, shh.)
i like to think i'm an okay artist and a designer, which might be hard to believe with how this website looks. but i have a degree in it so that must count for something.
i worked on the art for a friend's music project, which you can check out below. he genuinely makes really cool stuff and it'd mean a lot if you checked him out. he also inspired me to make this site in the first place.
i'm slowly but surely working on a tarot card set, i'm 16 cards in but i'm currently unhappy with it, especially now that my art has improved ever-so slightly. i plan to redo the entire thing at some point once i get a better understanding of the individual cards.
some of my favorite music artists are king gizzard and the lizard wizard, good morning, guided by voices, and jungle, among others.
i've also been recently getting into reading the x-men comics. i'm currently reading through the chris claremont run, along with other individual stories from other eras i thought were interesting. my favorite characters are gambit, cyclops, and banshee. :o)
my favorite videogame of all time is earthbound, and for the longest time i'd either go by earth or earthbound online. until i wanted to change my name and used "earthmaybe" as a temporary placeholder name.
i've had this "temporary" name for well over eight years now.
like i said before, i have a deep fascination with the old web and obscure corners of the internet. i especially like trying to find old virtual worlds and abandoned multiplayer games, i love seeing the niche subcultures that spawned from them back when they were active.
i don't have much else to say, but maybe i will later. i hope to update this site as i go along, thanks for reading!
and yes, the lowercase is on purpose.
